In 2015, Jacob Jernigan took an agriculture class at Millbrook Highschool. Part of the grade in the class was to have a Supervised Agriculture Experience outside of school. Jacob began thinking like a businessman and was determined to find a way to not only complete the outside of class project but make some money while doing so. It was at that time that he started Jacob’s Outdoor Services with nothing but an old pickup truck and a borrowed shovel.

The highschool project turned into more of a business and took off unexpectedly. Jacob, at the age of 16, decided he was going to continue this venture and formed Jernigan Landscaping LLC on January 1st of 2016. Since then Jacob graduated highschool and attended college at North Carolina State University. He has always had a servants heart and while in college decided to join the Northern Wake Fire Department as a volunteer member and since then has been promoted to a volunteer Lieutenant.

Jacob graduated North Carolina State University in 2020 with two Associate of Science degrees in Agriculture Business Management and Horticulture Science Management.
